Creating Active Schools
We are fortunate to be part of the Creating Active School Project.
This is a lottery funded project aimed at making sure children (and adults) move more! There are only 4 schools in Leeds to be part of this project! We are working with partners this year to implement and then sustain this programme.
It is all about making sure we are healthy! The government want to make sure that children move at least 60 minutes a day – 30 at school and 30 at home. We are making sure we achieve this in school. This is achieved through our daily mile, weekly Forest School sessions, sports clubs, sports activities in school and even movement in lessons!
We will be posting pictures showing our children being active and MOVING! Today (18th November) children in Year 4 have been taking part in Skipping lessons – picture to follow!
Keep following this page for lots of movement from our children!
