⚽️⚽️Middleton St. Mary's vs. MPS FC⚽️⚽️ Result 3-2 MOTM - Ronnie CoffeyThe match started fairly even and we held off some excellent attacking play from St. Mary's. It was clear from the start of the game they had a change in tactics and were focusing on high balls and throw-ins. On the 7th minute Denis gave us the lead with a lovely goal in the bottom left corner. The game continued, end to end, and Samuele made a couple of excellent saves. On the 14th minute, we were awarded a free-kick just outside the area and Denis slotted it home. He went low and the ball slipped in the bottom left corner. An excellent set piece which kept us at 0-2 going into the second half.We changed ends and St. Mary's began the second half with attacking play which saw them score on the 21st minute taking it to 1-2. We kept our heads up and Ronnie and Oliver made some amazing challenges to keep us in the game. Nathan led his line and kept morale high, but in the 22nd minute a freak bounce of the ball just in front of Samuele saw him lobbed and they made it 2-2. We continued to attack, looking dangerous at times, and pushed forward. In the 38th minute, an amazing shot hit the top right corner for St. Mary's and they made it 3-2. We kept going but the score was sealed. An excellent display for our first away match and certainly nothing to be disappointed about. We move on to our next fixture against Sharp Lane away next Monday. We'll done boys! ... See MoreSee Less

⚽️⚽️MPS FC vs. Sharp Lane Primary⚽️⚽️ Final result 7-0 MOTM - ARLEY BRADSHAWA great game from both sides this afternoon. Both sides began the game strong, but a foul in the box on the 2nd minute saw us awarded a penalty. Our captain, Nathan Johnstone, stepped up and scored in the top right corner. Play flowed and Sharp Lane looked like a dangerous opposition at times, but Denis Pacejs doubled the score, making it 2-0, on the 7th minute. Play remained even for the remainder of the first half and we went into half-time leading 2-0.The second half kicked off and on the 21st minute some excellent link up play saw Ashton-Cole Bradshaw make the score 3-0, scoring his 2nd goal in 2 consequetive appearances. A run from Denis Pacejs, on the 25th minute, saw him cross the ball from just inside the halfway line which ended up in the top left corner. A goal Mateusz Klich would have been proud of (one for the Leeds fans 😉). On the 29th minute Ronnie Coffey made it 5-0, again, after some amazing link up play with Denis. The boys were growing in confidence and held off some excellent attacking play from Sharp Lane. On the 35th minute Denis Pacejs made it 6-0. Into the dying seconds of the match, Denis Pacejs ran forward to meet Arley Bradshaw's excellent cross and sealed the game at 7-0.An excellent display of some amazing football and the proof is there that your hard work is paying off. Well done boys! ⚽️⚽️ ... See MoreSee Less
