****Anti-Bullying Week****

Next week in school, is anti-bullying week. The theme for Anti-Bullying Week 2020 is United Against Bullying. To kick off the week all children will need to come to school on Monday in odd socks as it's a great way to celebrate what makes us all unique.

Throughout the week, the children will be learning about why it's crucial to eradicate bullying and why it is vital to embrace diversity in our society.

As a school, we will continue to stand together against bullying.

On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month the guns fell silent. Loved ones were free to return home, however some were no longer here to see it. To mark my gratitude and remember their honour we will observe a 2 minute silence.

As we approach the middle of the week again, I thought it would be a good idea to let you all know that we will be raising money for Children In Need this Friday.

All children may come to school dressed in something yellow, spotty or stripey in exchange for £1.

Its a worthy cause which helps many underprivileged children and we cannot wait to to see you all Pudsey ready 😀

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
